About

The Role

The Senior HR Business Partner is a key architect of our culture. This is not a traditional, administrative HR role. You are a strategic partner who will help design and iterate the environment that enables our teams to win. You will achieve this in two ways: working closely with our divisional leader to support their team with world‑class talent & culture strategies, and owning core HR programs to ensure flawless execution.

A successful Nesto Senior HRBP masters analytical skills to turn data into actionable insights, just as well as the soft skills required to support leaders and employees. Underpinned by a strong sense of ownership, your willpower drives our culture.

Your Responsibilities
  • Embed yourself in a core business function and become its senior leader & management team’s key partner in generating growth and value.
  • Use data from our HRIS (Rippling) and engagement tools to identify trends in people analytics, presenting actionable insights to leaders.
  • Support the divisional talent reviews, succession planning, and organizational design efforts.
  • Own the execution of core HR programs for your divisions.
  • Act as a coach and partner to leaders.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for employee relations.
  • Proactively coach managers on strategies to foster a positive team culture and drive employee satisfaction, helping them leverage Learning & Development programs and adopt company‑wide HR initiatives to develop their people.
  • Partner with leaders and the Talent Acquisition team to build a strategic hiring plan, ensuring job descriptions are accurate and onboarding is seamless.
  • Champion and leverage new technologies, including AI, to amplify our people and processes, making us faster, more data‑driven, and more effective.
Basic Qualifications
  • 7+ years of experience in Human Resources, ideally as an HRBP or in a generalist role in a high‑growth environment.
  • Highly analytical. Comfortable turning raw data into compelling business cases and insights.
  • Proven ability to build trust and wield influence with senior leaders; a trusted advisor who can coach and partner to navigate complex challenges.
  • Strong communicator with high emotional intelligence. Empathetic yet firm.
  • Proactive ethos – you find better ways to get it done and operate comfortably in ambiguity.
  • Deep understanding of core HR functions, including performance management, compensation structures, labour law, and employee relations.
Other Qualifications
  • Nice to have:
Experience with high‑growth organisations or post‑acquisition environments.
  • Nice to have:
    Experience in operations management.
What We Offer
  • Contribute directly to shaping the experience that will modernise the Canadian mortgage industry and build a world‑class, high‑performance HR function.
  • An opportunity to take on career‑defining, high‑impact work in an environment that believes in growth through challenge.
  • Learn and be challenged daily.
  • This is a high‑impact and visibility role; you will work directly with Nesto Group leadership.
  • Opportunity for growth within the company.
  • Recognition of work‑life balance, with great benefits.
