Role OverviewRejuvenation is seeking a detail-oriented and knowledgeable Health and Safety Advisor to coordinate health and safety processes to ensure compliance with occupational health and safety policies, procedures, and regulations across Canada. This individual will help develop, implement, and improve a comprehensive and compliant safety program. Reporting to the Human Resources Director. RoleObjectives
The Health and Safety Advisor responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Coordinate health and safety training, including certifications and new hire orientations.
- Development and updating of toolbox meetings, MEMOs, PowerPoint Training Courses, Bulletins, SWPs, HAAs & Policies.
- Provide monthly reports to HR director and operations team.
- Lead Joint Health & Safety committee (JHSC) for clinic operations and head office.
- Develop and maintain safe evacuation procedures for all clinics and head office.
- Lead all WCB, WSIB, and Work Safe BC claims, mitigating lost time whenever possible.
- Address non-compliance and hazards with corrective actions.
- Conduct facility inspections, complete safety inspection reports, and follow up on corrective action items.
- Ensure safety binders are current, including SDS, SWP, HAA, Training, and Safety Manual.
- Travel may be required.
- Post-secondary education in Occupational Health & Safety or equivalent industry experience.
- Canadian Registered Safety Professional (CRSP) or Canadian Registered Safety Technician (CRST) designation preferred.
- Between 3-5 years of prior experience working within the Occupational Health & Safety discipline.
- Experience in healthcare or medical industry preferred
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in creating and delivering training programs.
- High attention to detail and organizational skills.
* Please note this will be a Monday-Friday position with a 40 hour work week
