Your Opportunity:

This Administrative Support IV position provides high-level, professional administrative support to 3-5 academic physicians within the Department of Pediatrics, Section of Developmental Pediatrics. The incumbent will be responsible for supporting the coordination and management of the daily activities of assigned physicians, including research, medical education, and administrative or medical leadership commitments. To function effectively in the role, the incumbent should have a comprehensive understanding of the operations of both Alberta Health Services and the University of Calgary, Cumming School of Medicine.

Experience in the areas of medical education and/or research would be beneficial. The successful candidate will be proactive, self-directed, and able to work as part of a cohesive team. Sound judgment, tact, creativity, and initiative are required to balance a mix of regular, recurring tasks and larger projects or initiatives. This role is often the first point of contact for both internal and external stakeholders, and professionalism is paramount in representing the Department, Section, and Physicians.

Regular hours for this position are 08:00-4:15 Mon-Fri. Current hybrid work arrangement - 4 days/Onsite 1 day/WFH.

Preferred Qualifications:

2 Years of full-time experience in an intermediate administrative capacity in a Health Care setting. 2 years of experience managing calendars, minute-taking, and creating agendas. Previous event or conference planning experience. Previous scheduling experience (health care scheduling preferred). Previous experience with Regional On-Call Applications (ROCA). U of C experience preferred. Medical Terminology.
