Young Energy Inc. is hiring Confined Space Entry TechnicianAs we continue to grow and expand, we are looking for motivated,dedicated and skilled individuals with industry experience. Our main office is based out of Calgary, however this position does require travel throughout Western Canada in order to meet the needs of our confined space entry technician has accountability for following required procedures, safe work plans and practices to perform cleaning of confined spaces in industrial position requires workers to wear specialized personal protective equipment, use various hand tools, shovels, pressure wash wands, vacuum hoses and other equipment.
What you do:Work in confined space for shifts of up to 2 hoursOperate pressure wash wand with up to 3000 psi pressureStand, sit, crouch and kneel for extended periods of timeParticipate in installation and removal of energy isolation devices, blanks, blinds, etc.Rig in / rig out ventilation, wash and vacuum equipmentFollow directions accuratelyAccurate reporting of conditions in the confined spaceAssist confined space entry personnel in donning and doffing required PPE when entering and exiting confined space when not in confined spacePerform assigned emergency response roles including confined space rescueActively participate in safety meetings, tool box meetings, permit and hazard assessment reviewsPrepare hazard assessments as appropriateMaintain composure during high stress and multi-tasking challengesSupport cleaning of respiratory protective equipmentComplete required inspection records for PPE and equipmentComplete required inventory of trailer daily and at end of projectSupport outside of space operations, maintaining support equipment in berm / work area as directedExtensive knowledge of:Industrial hygieneErgonomicsPersonal protective equipment requirementsGas MonitoringWorking basic hand and power toolsSelection, care inspection and operation of respiratory protective equipmentOccupational health and safety regulations, safety programs (company and client)
