EFW Radiology is currently seeking Maternal Fetal Medicine (MFM) OB Aides to join our team and contribute to our mission of providing exceptional patient care!

The MFM OB Aide works under the direction of the Registered Nurse and closely with EFW Radiology’s multidisciplinary teams. This role is responsible for ensuring that the MFM patient experience is efficient and effective, enabling the team to provide exceptional care to every EFW patient.
Reporting to: Nursing Supervisor
Role Overview
- Supports the Registered Nurse and collaborates within EFW’s multidisciplinary teams to ensure an efficient and effective patient experience.
- Greets and reviews all First Trimester Screening (FTS) plus patients for obstetrical medical history.
- Reviews screening information including patient weights, heights, blood pressures, and histories as needed.
- Identifies at-risk patients and informs the Registered Nurse based on established processes.
- Completes accurate data entry while maintaining privacy and patient care standards.
- Coordinates patient flow in the clinic, which may include:
- Monitoring fetal tracings for completion
- Coordinating patient movement through consult rooms
- Room and equipment cleaning that meets CPSA IPC criteria
- Maintains professionalism in all patient interactions, providing ethically impartial care.
- Participates in chart preparation as appropriate.
- Demonstrates EFW values of Compassion, Trust, and Meaning in the workplace.
- Adheres to all privacy and confidentiality policies and procedures.
- Undertakes additional duties as assigned.
- Healthcare Aide certification or equivalent education is required.
- Experience as a Healthcare Aide, and/or medical outpatient clinic experience preferred.
- Experience working with a maternal population and sound clinical knowledge related to pregnancy.
- Motivated self-starter with strong time management and organizational skills.
- Critical thinking skills to assist with clinic flow.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Proficiency with computers and data entry.
- Ability to work as a team member and take direction in a fast-paced clinical environment.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to multi-task.
- Customer-focused approach with flexibility and compassion.
- Current First Aid and BCLS considered an asset.
- Fluency in more than one language considered an asset.

Clinic rotations including daytime, evening, and/or Saturday shifts as required. Hours of work may vary based on clinic needs.
