Effective April 2026, this position will transition from Age Care Midnapore (500 Midpark Way SE, Calgary, AB) to
** Age Care Shawnee** (50 Shawnee Street SW, Calgary, AB) as the Midnapore location will be closing.
** The Opportunity
** The Recreation Team Member facilitates planned and spontaneous opportunities to support the maintenance and development of resident skills and knowledge as well as the development of relationships and personal connections.

** What Is In It For You*
* • Maintains department records and completes all documentation as per required timelines, including Resident Assessments/Re-Assessments, Care Planning, MDS Coding/RAPs, Progress Notes, Activity Pro and monthly calendars.  
• Participates in the on-going evaluation of the recreation program and related quality improvement processes.  
• Maintains recreation supplies and other related tools/resources in good working condition and as per related infection control policies and procedures, reporting deficiencies to the Program Manager  
• Works a variety of shifts (days, evenings, weekends, and statutory holidays)  
• May involve travel within the province for education and meetings.

** What You Will Need*
* • Graduate of a post-secondary diploma or degree program in recreation and leisure studies, therapeutic recreation or other related field from a community college or university.  
• Enrolled in a community college or university in a diploma or degree program in recreation and leisure studies, therapeutic recreation, or other related field with the intent to successfully complete the program within three years of being hired.  
• Knowledge and experience in providing recreation and leisure services in a health care setting an asset.
