** Job Description
** Candidates are invited to apply for a Full time Certified Rehabilitation aide position at Extendicare Cedars Villa in the SW of Calgary. Extendicare Cedars Villa is a 243 beds Long Term Care Home.
Directly accountable to the OT/PT. Implements the maintenance of patient programming under the direction of the OT/PT.
Communicate changes in resident abilities and function to the OT/PT to complete the program assigned.
Prepares apparatus and equipment required for the program.
Records resident participation in the programs.
Completes tasks as assigned by the OT/PT for the benefit of the residents which is not limited to the above.
Post-secondary diploma or degree in Rehabilitation therapy aide or therapy assistant related field from a community college or university.
Minimum of 1 to 2 years’ experience preferable in Continuing Care but not essential. Excellent Customer Service skills Have a proven track record with fundraising within the experience Experience working with computer applications such as RAI 2.0, Outlook, Word and Excel is an asset Ability to work alone and with others while prioritizing tasks.
Excellent communication skills, written and verbal.
Ability to work effectively within a variety of stressful situations and challenges and with various individuals or groups Strong organizing, planning, prioritizing, time management and multi-tasking skills
