The Department of Oncology, Division of Psychosocial Oncology in the Cumming School of Medicine at the University of Calgary is accepting applications for a Postdoctoral Scholar in Psychosocial Oncology.
Job Description:
The focus of this research is broadly addressing the psychosocial aspect of cancer across the life span, including outcomes for cancer survivors and in palliative care. The successful applicant will work with a team of researchers and clinicians to support key research tasks including preparation of manuscripts, research reports and grant applications, project coordination and data analysis.
Additional roles may include the training and mentoring junior students, presenting their work at local and national conferences and co-authoring papers.
Qualifications:
- PhD or equivalent in Behavioral Science, Psychology, or a related field
- Previous experience in psychosocial oncology
- Expertise in statistical analysis
- CV and transcripts considered competitive for external funding
- High level of effective organizational, time and personal initiative skills, teamwork, accuracy and strong attention to detail
