The Opportunity
Age Care is seeking an experienced and strategic Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to join our executive leadership team and lead the financial strategy of a growing, multi-entity seniors care organization operating care facilities across three provinces.
As a key partner to the CEO and Board of Directors, the CFO will play a central role in shaping enterprise strategy, overseeing capital planning and lender relationships, and ensuring long-term financial sustainability while supporting Age Care’s mission of delivering exceptional care to residents and families.
This role provides an opportunity to help guide the continued growth of the organization while strengthening financial infrastructure, governance, and strategic decision-making across the enterprise.
What You’ll Do Strategic Financial Leadership- Lead enterprise financial strategy aligned with organizational growth
- Develop multi-year financial models, forecasts, and capital plans
- Evaluate expansion, acquisitions, restructuring, and refinancing opportunities
- Advise the CEO and Board on financial risk and strategic investments
- Serve as the primary executive contact for lenders and financial partners
- Lead debt strategy, refinancing initiatives, and covenant compliance
- Oversee treasury management, liquidity planning, and capital allocation
- Provide executive oversight of corporate accounting, financial reporting, and multi-entity consolidation
- Oversee budgeting, forecasting, and facility-level financial performance
- Ensure compliance with provincial healthcare reporting requirements
- Maintain strong internal controls, tax compliance, and audit readiness
- Provide leadership to a multi-disciplinary finance team responsible for accounting, reporting, treasury, and financial planning
- Build scalable financial infrastructure to support continued growth
- Partner cross-functionally with operations leadership
- Foster a high-performance, accountable finance culture
- Oversee enterprise risk management and regulatory compliance
- Maintain lender covenant compliance and accurate reporting
- Manage insurance programs and key contract oversight
- CPA required (MBA or CFA considered an asset)
- 10+ years progressive finance leadership experience
- 5+ years in executive finance leadership (CFO, VP Finance, or equivalent)
- Experience overseeing finance functions within complex, multi-entity organizations
- Background in healthcare, senior care, or other regulated industries preferred
- Demonstrated experience managing complex lender relationships and capital structures
- Strong executive presence with experience presenting to Boards
