About AFTI Watch Dog:

AFTI Watch Dog is a private technology company transforming the way energy operators conduct their well site management through integrated software and purpose-built hardware solutions. As they expand into new markets and scale their recurring revenue model, they are strengthening their finance operations to support operational efficiency, inventory visibility, and accurate reporting.

They are looking for a detail-oriented Finance Operations Analyst to support core accounting and operational finance processes — with a strong focus on inventory accounting, invoicing, and cross-functional collaboration with operations and logistics partners.

Role Overview

This role sits at the intersection of finance and operations. You will ensure financial accuracy across hardware transactions while supporting day-to-day accounting operations, customer billing, and logistics-related financial workflows.

The ideal candidate enjoys working with operational data, reconciling real-world movement of goods with accounting records, and building scalable processes in a fast-growing environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Inventory Accounting & Management
    • Maintain accurate inventory records utilizing the company’s inventory management software, Unleased
    • Track inventory movements across warehouses, vendors, and customers
    • Record inventory receipts, adjustments, transfers, and write-downs
    • Support cost accounting and hardware margin analysis
    • Assist in periodic inventory counts and variance investigations
  • Operations & Purchasing Support
    • Partner with operations on purchase orders and receiving workflows
    • Review inventory purchase documentation and ensure proper accounting treatment
    • Support landed cost calculations including freight, duties, and tariffs
    • Help improve purchasing and inventory tracking processes
  • Logistics & Brokerage Coordination
    • Work with customs brokers and freight agents to obtain documentation
    • Validate import/export paperwork and ensure financial accuracy
    • Record duties, taxes, freight, and clearing costs
    • Reconcile brokerage statements and shipping invoices
  • Billing & Collections
    • Prepare and issue customer invoices for hardware and certain services
    • Maintain customer billing records and supporting documentation
    • Monitor receivables and follow up on outstanding balances
    • Apply payments and reconcile customer accounts
  • Accounting Operations
    • Assist with month-end close and certain account reconciliations
    • Support audit documentation and internal controls
  • Qualifications

    Required

    • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Accounting, Finance, or related field
    • 2–5 years of accounting or financial analysis experience
    • Strong Excel or spreadsheet skills
    • Experience with inventory, cost accounting, or operational accounting
    • High attention to detail and organization skills

    Preferred

    • Experience in manufacturing, hardware, distribution or SaaS environment
    • Familiarity with inventory management systems, Unleashed inventory management software or Xero accounting software
    • Experience with invoicing and collections processes
    • Exposure to import/export or logistics documentation
    • Detail-oriented and process-focused
    • Strong reconciliation and analytical skills
    • Comfortable working cross-functionally with operations teams
    • Ability to manage multiple workflows simultaneously
    • Clear communication and documentation skills
    • Curious mindset and continuous improvement attitude
