We are seeking an experienced Controller to direct and control the financial performance of our operations in Canada. This position reports to the VP of Finance in the US and involves oversight of an accounting manager, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and other financial functions. The role requires understanding of intercompany accounting and system integration, especially in the context of our ongoing acquisitions.

• Direct and control the financial performance of the Canadian operations.
• Oversee accounting manager and financial departments such as AP and AR.
• Develop and implement financial templates and processes.
• Manage managers and ensure effective financial operations.
• Understand and apply intercompany accounting and system integration.
• Ensure timely and accurate month‑end close within 5-8 days.

• 15 years of progressive accounting experience with at least 5 years in a senior role.
• Experience in a 200 million+ organization.
• Big 4 audit expertise.
• System implementation experience.
• Experience with percentage of completion accounting.
• Strong understanding of GAAP and FASB standards.
• Experience with private equity and mergers and acquisitions.

• Mergers and acquisitions experience.
• French language skills.
• Experience in private equity.
• Industry experience in construction, home building, or manufacturing.

This role offers a dynamic work environment within a rapidly growing company, providing an opportunity to make a significant impact on processes, systems, and management. The position requires some in‑office presence but has a flexible schedule. Travel is expected to be around 20%, and the role demands strong communication skills and the ability to work through different accounting systems due to multiple acquisitions.

This is a Permanent position based out of Calgary, AB.
