Position Responsibilities- Assist the marketing group in a variety of data and modeling related tasks
- Work with the optimization, lease, scheduling, settlement and quality groups to help efficiently manage the data flow of crude oil receipts and deliveries in Western Canada
- Look into new and emerging technologies to help field and Calgary staff generate quality results in a more timely and accurate manner
- Work with various members of the team building physical and financial models
- Provide support with quality data gathering and management for marketing assets
- Work with analytics to generate pricing information
- Work with settlement on communicating the above information to generate invoices
- Ad hoc analysis as required
- Working towards a Commerce Degree (preferably Finance);
Will also consider candidates withhumidity economics, Computer Science or Mathematics degree in progress. Preferably going into 3rd/4th/final year of university - Microsoft Office Suite (primarily Excel) skills required
- AI, Machine Learning and Linear Programming/Convex Optimization skills considered an asset
- Experience building financial models considered an asset
- Excellent analytical skills and problem solving ability
- Understanding of the fundamental principles of economic, financial and risk analysis
- Strong business aptitude and an understanding of the crude oil and NGL business
- Ability to work in a high pressure, deadline driven work environment that requires accuracy and a keen attention to detail
