We are looking for a Senior Financial Analyst to be the strategic navigator for our Engineering and Product organizations. This is not a “maintenance mode” role; we need a builder who hunts for stories behind the numbers and asks “Why?” until the root cause is found.

• Strategic partnership & curiosity – work with Engineering & Product leaders to support business partnering.
• Go beyond reporting to deliver insights – investigate anomalies in cloud spend, software tooling and headcount utilization.
• Translate complex financial concepts into clear, actionable language for non‑finance stakeholders.
• Own the R&D P&L – manage forecasting, budgeting and month‑end close for the R&D function.
• Headcount management – model hiring ramps, attrition and capitalization with high precision.
• Cloud cost & AI cost analysis – partner to model usage, forecast costs and ensure gross margins scale.
• Tame ambiguity & build scalability – design scalable financial models and dashboards from unstructured data.
• Process architecture – identify broken or manual processes and build automated, structured solutions.
• Data wrangling & modeling – synthesize data from HRIS, ERP, Cloud Usage to create a single source of truth.
• Build dynamic financial models that support scenario planning (Best Case / Worst Case).

• You are a data wrangler who can pull, clean and structure large datasets.
• Ownership mindset – treat the business as your own and drive solutions to resolution.

• 4+ years of experience in FP&A, Strategic Finance or a highly analytical Business Ops role; CPA, CFA or MBA is a plus.
• Strong understanding of SaaS metrics (R&D as % of Revenue, CAC, Gross Margin, ARR).
• Proficiency in Google Sheets and modeling – mandatory. Experience with planning tools (Pigment, Adaptive, Anaplan) & visualization tools (Tableau, Looker) preferred.
• Experience with SQL or working with large datasets is a huge plus.

The expected salary range
* for this role is $100,300 to $118,000 to $135,700 CAD. Salary bands reflect skills and experience, allowing room for growth al offer will depend on region, experience and skillset.
