The Opportunity

As the Finance & Accounting Summer Student in the NGL team, you will have the unique opportunity to be exposed to a wide variety of work that ranges from assisting with vendor on‑boarding, vendor management, data management, journal entries and aid in cash forecasting. This opportunity will allow you to gain insight into supply chain processes, accounting, data management, while growing your professional network, industry knowledge and gaining on‑the‑job experience.

This position will be based in Calgary, AB.

WORK TERM: 4 Months – May – August 2026

Key Responsibilities

• Aid the NGL capital project team with monthly reporting and reconciliations
• Support the NGL supply chain teams with onboarding new vendors
• Assist the NGL accounts payable team with the loading and coding of invoices into the workflow program along with payment runs
• Support the NGL accounting team with day‑to‑day journal entries (bank, allocation, etc.) monthly reconciliations and cash forecasts
• Ad hoc projects across the NGL team

Qualifications and Experience

Education:

• Must be enrolled in a Commerce, Economics or Business program at an accredited post secondary institution. Accounting focus would be considered an asset
• You must be returning to full‑time studies after the work term

Skills and Experience:

• Proficient in Microsoft Office
• Knowledge of Microsoft Teams and SharePoint is considered an asset
• Strong attention to detail, organization, and accuracy and ability to maintain confidentiality is essential
• Verbal and written communication, multi‑tasking, prioritization skills are necessary
• Must be a self‑starter with strong problem‑solving and critical thinking skills
