Overview

Senior Manager - Financial Accounting and Advisory Services-Transactions  a Transactions Senior Manager, you will be a professional member of our Financial Accounting Advisory Services (FAAS) team. FAAS operates principally through four pillars:
Enhanced Corporate Reporting & Accounting, Finance Optimization, Treasury Management and Transactions Advisory. You will help automate and streamline efficiency, control, and compliance functions while improving the value Finance provides to the organization.

Key Responsibilities
  • Actively establish, maintain and strengthen internal and external relationships to create and maintain a robust business development funnel for the Transactions service pillar. Develop long-term client relationships and networks, and collaborate with EY practices to service client needs.
  • Provide innovative commercial insights by applying relationship building, project management, and financial knowledge to meet clients’ IPO, acquisition, and divestiture needs; contribute to improving transaction readiness, operational and reporting efficiency, and decision making.
  • Spend a majority of time supporting local business development activities and client engagement teams across various sectors to deliver professional services.
Client Responsibilities and Skills
  • Lead external client engagements for planning and execution of Transactions initiatives, including IPO readiness and/or acquisitions/divestitures; advise on improvements to internal finance and accounting processes to increase deal value, automate, or reengineer processes toward future state models.
  • Lead business development initiatives including service offering development, proposal development, responding to RFXs, and participating in oral presentations.
  • Stay informed of changing market conditions and regulatory developments and their impacts on clients.
  • Specialize in Transactions service offering to provide subject matter expertise and go-to-market activities.
People Management
  • Develop people through coaching, feedback and mentoring; foster an innovative and inclusive team environment; motivate teams with diverse skills.
  • Conduct performance reviews and contribute to staff development; lead recruitment, retention and training efforts; maintain an educational program for skill development; lead by example regarding workplace policies.
What we look for
  • 10+ years of related work experience; or a graduate degree with approximately 7+ years of related work experience
  • Professional designation such as CA or CPA
  • In-depth knowledge in IPO readiness, acquisitions/divestitures, disposals, audit or business experience in financial statement close and internal controls (SOX 404 or NI 52-109)
  • Technical accounting experience in IFRS and US GAAP
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and financial modelling skills
  • Experience leading and delivering transformation programs; ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong communication in English;
    French is a plus; travel willingness
Ideal candidates
  • Ability to build credibility quickly and develop relationships; track record of driving revenue within existing accounts and new prospects at senior levels
  • Experience in business processes including record-to-report, plan-to-perform, order-to-cash, procure-to-pay and asset management
