Responsibilities
  • Support M&A financial due diligence engagements end‑to‑end, working closely with the Managers and Partners on planning, analysis, and client communication.
  • Analyze financial information including trial balances, general ledgers, aging reports, and supporting schedules in Microsoft Excel to identify key trends, risks, and unusual items.
  • Perform detailed financial analyses, including quality of earnings, sustainability of EBITDA, working capital, net debt, and forecasted/projected income statements.
  • Prepare detailed questions and discussion points for management meetings, focusing on accounting policies, financial information, operational insights and relevant macroeconomic factors impacting the transaction.
  • Assist in preparing high‑quality deliverables in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint covering quality of earnings, working capital profiles, net debt, and other key risk areas identified during analysis.
  • Proactively leverage AI tools, technology, and market data to improve analysis quality and engagement efficiency.
  • Work on multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring accuracy and timely completion of all deliverables.
  • Contribute to a positive, high‑performing, and fun team culture by demonstrating initiative, accountability and a willingness to learn.
Skills and Experience
  • Accounting designation (CPA/ACCA/equivalent) required; CBV or CFA designation or progress toward completion is considered an asset.
  • Master’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field is considered an asset.
  • 2+ years of professional services experience in accounting, audit or advisory; experience in Transaction Advisory or Financial Due Diligence preferred.
  • Solid technical accounting knowledge, including IFRS, ASPE, and/or US GAAP.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint, with strong attention to detail.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills, with a collaborative, solution‑oriented attitude.
  • Willingness to work outside regular hours and travel as required.
