DescriptionCustomer Service Orientation.
- Serving customers in an efficient and courteous manner on the telephone and in person; up-selling and cross-selling corporate products and services.
- Handling customer complaints and inquiries; problem solving.
- Resolving problematic shipments and equipment or technology challenges.
- Collaborating with head office, local management, drivers, warehousing staff, account managers and other corporate partners to ensure excellence in customer service.
- Building positive relationships with management, staff, vendors, tenants, etc.
- Assisting customers with shipping details and account challenges.
- Loading, scanning, logging, and calling resolution freight.
- Cash reconciliation including deposits and key control.
- Communication.
- Communicate positively in oral and written form with head office, local management, drivers, warehousing staff, account managers and other partners.
- Practice personal responsibility and accountability.
- Comply with all corporate policies and procedures (including uniforms).
- Adhere to all safety standards.
- Maintain punctuality and attendance.
- Live the Purolator values and represent them to customers and partners.
- Perform additional duties as assigned by management.
- Key focus areas: customer service orientation, problem solving, relationship building, technology adaptation, accountability.
- Preferred experience:
3–12 months in customer service, retail, or using technology/POS systems. - Physical requirement: lift up to 70 lbs.; stand for 3‑hour intervals.
- Professional communication skills, both oral and written; listening skills.
- Proven track record of accountability, attendance, uniform compliance, attention to detail; teamwork and independent work experience.
- Safety standards experience is an asset.
