About the Role

Responsibilities:
- Technical project engineer delivering on multiple water/wastewater hydraulic and rehabilitation projects.
- Planning, modelling, analysis, and design of municipal infrastructure projects.
- Assist in mentoring junior staff, providing technical reviews and guidance.
- Review water and wastewater design drawings.
- Constructability reviews.
- QA/QC reviews of junior staff deliverables.
- Lead cost estimation and validate project assumptions.
- Write and review reports and documentation for accuracy and compliance with standards and regulations.
Project Delivery
- Support proposal development with technical input.
- Ensure quality control procedures are followed across drawings and reports.
- Oversee procurement documents, including specifications and tender coordination.
- Provide senior-level contract administration, including review of contractor submittals, progress claims, and interpreting contract documents.
Examples of the projects you may work on:
- Multidisciplinary projects such as water and wastewater stations, major pipeline upgrades, and roadway projects.
- Utility rehabilitation and renewal, urban and rural.
- Regional water and wastewater systems.
- Pump stations and force mains (new and rehabilitation).
- Flood mitigation projects such as berm design and site regrading

Your resume must display:
- P.Eng. (Professional Engineer) or P.Tech. designation or eligible to register in Alberta
- Minimum of 8 to 10 years of years experience designing in municipal water and waste water including water distribution, wastewater collection and stations
- Design experience in water and wastewater including rehabilitation works.
- Technical design experience, including design coordination internally and externally.
- Familiarity with construction contracts, drawings and contract documents, submittals and progress claims.
