The Senior Structural Engineer will develop and manage construction projects for new marine infrastructure and modifications to existing infrastructure in the transportation, water & wastewater, commercial, industrial, energy and institutional building sectors, ensuring compliance with applicable codes.
Responsibilities- Prepare reports, plans, estimates and specifications for structural projects.
- Conduct professional foundation, structural, and seismic analyses, as well as building and structural inspections.
- Coordinate with other design disciplines (Architecture, Electrical, Mechanical, etc.) and BIM modelers.
- Participate in meetings, prepare presentations, and assist with project documentation for bids and tenders.
- Conduct periodic site visits to ensure construction complies with design intent and codes.
- Review and respond to RFIs, shop drawings, submittals and other procurement documents during the CA phase.
- Provide guidance to engineering, CAD, and BIM teams, including peer reviews of engineer work.
- Mentor junior engineers, perform QA/QC activities, and maintain project quality standards.
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering (required) and Master’s degree in Structural Engineering (asset).
- Minimum of 10 years of relevant structural design experience.
- Member of the OIQ (Order of Engineers of Quebec) or equivalent professional engineering license.
- Fluency in French and English, both written and spoken.
- Resident of Quebec, preferably Montreal.
- Deep knowledge of Canadian and Quebec design standards and codes; knowledge of American codes is an asset.
- Proficiency in structural design software such as ETABS, SAFE, Robot, and SAP
2000. - Experience with Microsoft Office, Bluebeam, and 3D BIM modeling software (Revit, Navisworks) is expected.
- Strong leadership, management, and coordination skills with the ability to lead teams of engineers and CAD staff.
- Excellent work ethic, collaborative spirit, and ability to interact with all levels of staff and clients.

Salary range: $100,000 – $145,000 (actual salary will vary based on location, skills, experience, and qualifications for the role).
