Wolsey Structural Solutions is seeking an experienced Structural Engineer specializing in concrete and steel design to join our growing team. This role is focused on the design and delivery of high-quality structural systems, supporting a wide range of building and infrastructure projects across multiple sectors.

The successful candidate will play a key role in technical design, coordination, and project execution, working closely with internal teams, clients, architects, and contractors. This position is ideal for a registered professional engineer who takes pride in practical, efficient, and code-compliant structural solutions.

• Structural Design & Technical Execution
• Perform detailed structural design and analysis of reinforced concrete and structural steel systems.
• Develop design calculations, drawings, and technical documentation in compliance with applicable codes and standards.
• Apply sound engineering judgment to complex structural challenges.
• Support constructability reviews, value engineering, and alternative design strategies.

• Project Delivery & Coordination
• Contribute to projects from concept through construction, ensuring technical quality and schedule alignment.
• Coordinate with architects, contractors, and multidisciplinary consultants.
• Respond to RFIs, shop drawings, and site-related engineering queries.
• Assist with scope definition, scheduling, and technical inputs for proposals.

• Quality Assurance
• Participate in design reviews and peer checks to ensure accuracy and compliance.
• Maintain high standards for calculations, drawings, and reports.
• Adhere to company QA/QC procedures and professional practice guidelines.

• Collaboration & Professional Contribution
• Work collaboratively within Wolsey and across Mosaic Holding Corporation companies on multidisciplinary projects.
• Share technical knowledge and best practices with team members.
• Support continuous improvement in design tools, workflows, and standards.

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Structural or Civil Engineering
• Registered Professional Engineer (P.Eng) in Alberta (or eligible for immediate registration)
• 5-10 years of experience in structural engineering with a strong focus on concrete and steel
• Proven experience on building and/or infrastructure projects
• Proficiency with structural design software such as ETABS, SAP
  2000, RAM, STAAD, Tekla, and Revit
• Strong understanding of Canadian design codes (CSA, NBCC)
• Excellent communication and coordination skills
