Our client is excited to welcome a Production Engineer I to their close-knit and collaborative team within the Lighting Manufacturing space. This is a great opportunity for an early-career engineer who enjoys being hands-on, learning from experienced teammates, and seeing their work move from concept through to production.

The ideal candidate brings 2+ years of experience in a mechanical or electrical engineering environment, ideally within manufacturing or product-based industries. You’ll thrive here if you’re naturally curious, approachable, and comfortable working across departments – taking information from multiple stakeholders and turning it into clear, actionable next steps.

This role suits someone who values teamwork but is equally confident working independently, managing priorities, and taking ownership of their work without constant oversight. If you’re looking to join a knowledgeable and welcoming team who fosters growth and collaboration, this could be the perfect job for you!

Responsibilities
  • Provide technical support to both customers and internal teams by responding to product-related inquiries and troubleshooting issues via phone or conference calls as needed.
  • Support New Product Introduction (NPI) activities, including developing assembly instructions, setting up production workflows, defining tools and inspection processes, and delivering production training.
  • Design and implement product modifications in response to internal or customer requests.
  • Research and identify alternative products, components, and suppliers, and support the engineering review and approval process.
  • Create, maintain, and update engineering documentation, including assembly instructions, bills of materials (BOMs), engineering change notices (ECNs), and NPI documentation.
  • Assist with building, testing, and validating prototypes to ensure compliance with design specifications.
  • Support inspection, testing, adjustment, and evaluation of incoming electrical, electrotechnical, and electronic components to confirm conformance with specifications and tolerances.
  • Perform additional related duties as assigned by management to support production and engineering objectives.
Education
  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering is required.
Experience
  • A minimum of 2+ years of experience in electrical, mechanical, or production engineering is required.
  • Experience using Solid Works and AutoCAD is considered a strong asset.
Skills
  • Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills.
  • Ability to manage competing priorities and work independently.
  • Comfortable collaborating across teams and taking direction from multiple leaders.
  • Hands-on technical aptitude with creative, “out-of-the-box” thinking.
  • Passion for process improvement and systems optimization.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and customer service skills.
  • Sound decision-making and analytical ability.
Base Salary

$60,000+ per year

  • Salary based on experience.
  • Benefits package included.
Work Hours
  • Monday to Friday.
  • 7:30am – 4:00pm.
Additional Notes
  • This opportunity does not include relocation. It will be the responsibility of the candidate should relocation be required.
