Junior MECH Drafter

The Junior Mechanical Drafter role is a full-time role. In this role, the Junior Drafter will assist the Lead Draftsperson with drafting and design tasks for all projects, coordinate with engineers and other professionals to meet project requirements, evaluate drawings, and ensure they adhere to appropriate drafting standards.

Amendment of mark‑ups

Complete and accurate re‑drafting of indicated P& plot plan mark‑ups

Creation of basic P&IDs and PFDs

Production of plot plans from Piping Designer’s model and survey data

Cleaning of DWG files for return to the client

As‑building

As‑building of completed projects from QC mark‑ups of P&IDs and Plot plans

A two‑year program spanning both design principles and good drafting procedures for relaying the mechanical design of a construction package. The program should leave the student with a complete understanding in both AutoCAD and Mechanical design principles.

Extensive MECH experience with an AutoCAD certificate.

Strong analytical and organizational skills.

Strong interpersonal skills combined with a positive, team‑oriented attitude.

Former EPC experience is an asset.

Excellent written and oral communication skills.
