Required Experience
- Minimum 10 years of experience in a Process Designer or design-focused Process Engineering role
- Strong experience developing industrial process P&IDs
- Proficient in Smart 3D (S3D) for process and layout design
- Experience with large industrial water pumping systems
- Experience with pump and piping sizing and specification
- Experience performing hydraulic calculations and transient analysis
- Experience with HVAC P&IDs and schematics
- Experience developing HVAC control narratives
- Experience with HVAC equipment selection and ducting layout
- Experience with steam, heat exchanger, and condensate systems
- Ensure compliance with applicable Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) requirements.
- Perform detailed process design activities to produce high-quality, constructible design deliverables.
- Develop and maintain process documentation including P&IDs, layouts, calculations, and supporting design packages.
- Collaborate with engineering, operations, and project teams to ensure design criteria and business requirements are met.
- Coordinate with internal teams and external stakeholders to support delivery of project scope, cost, and schedule objectives.
- Ensure designs are constructible in the field with minimal revisions.
- Support cost estimate development and project scheduling activities.
- Comply with the Project Quality Management System and applicable company standards.
- Manage design scope and support formal change management processes when required.
- Ensure design deliverables align with safety, environmental, operability, efficiency, and maintainability standards.
- Diploma or degree in Chemical Engineering Technology, Engineering, or a related discipline
- P.Eng. designation is an asset but not required
- Minimum 10 years of relevant industry experience
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and adapt in a fast-paced environment
- Legally entitled to work in Canada
