Stantec Buildings is looking for an Intermediate Level Structural Engineer to provide technical expertise in structural building systems and support business development initiatives. Join our vibrant Calgary office and contribute to projects ranging from small renovations to large facilities across multiple sectors.

The successful candidate for this Intermediate Level Structural Engineer – Buildings position will provide technical expertise in structural building systems, support ongoing business development initiatives, and aid in further enhancement of the Structural Engineering practice within our Buildings Engineering team.

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering;
  Master’s degree is an asset.
• 5–12 years of post‑graduation experience in a structural design and business development environment.
• Experience in commercial, education, and health‑care sectors is an asset.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and structural finite element design software such as ETABS, SAP 2000, SAFE, RISA, and RAM;
  Revit and Bluebeam experience is highly desirable.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary group.
• Assists in the development of new standards and specifications for the structural group.
• Highly organized, able to prioritize multiple tasks, and demonstrates a flexible approach to work assignments.
• Demonstrated ability to adapt to changes in technology and to integrate new technologies into daily work processes.
