Overview

Reinbold Engineering Group is a national mechanical engineering firm with offices in Calgary, Vancouver, Toronto, Edmonton, and Kelowna. We specialize in HVAC and plumbing system design for commercial, healthcare, institutional, residential, and mixed-use high-rise projects. Are you a student just getting started in your Mechanical Engineering journey? We are looking to share our trade "secrets" with an eager, self-motivated Mechanical Engineering Co-op Student in our various Offices (Toronto, Calgary, Edmonton, Kelowna, Vancouver).

This position is ideal for students seeking hands-on experience in mechanical design and the opportunity to learn from an industry leader. You’ll have the opportunity to develop technical skills, contribute to real projects, and work alongside experienced engineers in a supportive environment.

What You’ll Do
  • Assist with preparing design drawings and construction documents in AutoCAD and REVIT.
  • Support load calculations using the company software.
  • Help with the selection and coordination of mechanical equipment.
  • Work with Engineers and Designers on HVAC and plumbing layouts.
  • Learn about codes, standards, and industry best practices.
  • Gain exposure to project meetings and construction processes.
  • Accompany Engineers on site visits.
What We’re Looking For
  • Currently enrolled in a Mechanical Engineering / Technologist (or related) program.
  • Interest in HVAC, plumbing, and building systems design.
  • Eager to learn new software tools (AutoCAD, REVIT).
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • Detail-oriented and motivated to grow in the engineering field.
  • Established techniques for solving problems.
