Position: Bridge/Structural Technologist (Junior)

Junior Bridge/Structural Technologist – Calgary

We are currently searching for a Junior Bridge/Structural Technologist in our Calgary office. The successful candidate will work with engineers and other technologists to provide design and drafting services for a variety of public and private sector clients, focusing on bridges, municipal structures, and transportation‑related infrastructure.

Responsibilities
  • Utilize CAD software to create technical drawings for bridge, roadway, and aviation projects from concept to detailed design and record.
  • Modify and revise existing drawings based on feedback from engineers, project managers, or team members.
  • Work closely with colleagues to understand and ensure compliance with drafting standards.
  • Prepare and export drawings and models in various formats for project submissions.
  • Organize and manage CAD files, ensuring drawings and models are accessible to other team members.
Requirements
  • Diploma in Civil Engineering, Engineering Design, or Drafting from an accredited technical institution.
  • 0‑5 years of experience.
  • Experience with Alberta Transportation Engineering drafting guidelines for highway and bridge projects is an asset.
  • Proficient in AutoCAD and Civil 3D.
  • Strong written and verbal communication abilities.
  • Excellent attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
  • Committed team player able to work independently.
  • Experience with Revit, Sketch Up, or other 3D modelling software is an asset.
  • Consulting experience is an asset.
  • Registered, or eligible for registration with ASET.
