Lead Commissioning Engineer / Commissioning Manager
Phasor Engineering Inc is a dynamic Alberta based company specializing in engineering, design, and testing / commissioning of medium to high voltage electrical facilities. We are involved in a diverse range of projects from preliminary engineering through to commissioning and startup. We are currently seeking a highly motivated Lead Commissioning Engineer / Commissioning Manager to join our field services team on a full‑time basis.

Base pay range: CA $130,000 – CA $170,000 per year.
Responsibilities- Lead a team in the testing and commissioning of power system protection & control schemes for utilities, power generation, and oil & gas projects
- Read and interpret drawings and troubleshoot or resolve technical issues
- Manage direct reports and delegate tasks as needed
- Prepare and submit reports
- Assist with generation of commissioning startup procedures or work instructions
- Ensure compliance with all safety practices as per corporate, client, and industry standards
- Initiate and respond to customer inquiries, discuss trouble details, and confirm resolutions
- Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering, Power Systems, an Electrical Engineering Technologist diploma, or a Power Systems Electrician Journeyman Ticket from a recognized institute
- 4+ years experience leading a commissioning team in the electrical utilities industry
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills and an extreme attention to detail
- Knowledge of the Microsoft Office suite and strong computer skills
- Excellent organizational skills and ability to manage a wide variety of issues simultaneously
- Strong analytical, risk assessment and problem‑solving skills
- Ability to work for extended periods out of town
- Valid driver’s licence with a clean driving record
- Background checks and drug and alcohol pre‑access testing required for employment
- Legally able to work in Canada (visa sponsorship not available)

- Typical shifts: 4/3, 8/6, 10/4, and 14/7
- Working hours generally 7 am – 5:30 pm (10 hrs/day)
