Acero is focused on facility and pipeline engineering, procurement and construction management services; from concept evaluation to plant start-up. Our core service offering is in-house project management, process, mechanical, electrical, instrumentation and control engineering, project engineering, procurement, regulatory services, civil and structural engineering, and construction management.
Responsibilities:
* Specifying industrial control systems, including control system architecture, fibre optic architecture, instrumentation specification, Honeywell Control Logix.
* Preparing P&s and instrument selection
* Developing instrument indices, instrument F&G and analyzer datasheets and inline instrument sizing
* Creating I/O lists and assignments, instrument wiring drawings and loop diagrams, and instrument UPS load requirements lists
* Preparing material requisitions and technical bid evaluations for instruments
* Assisting with the design of PLC panels
* Reviewing cable schedules
* Preparing shutdown keys and cause and effect diagrams
* Preparing engineering work packages
* Reviewing instrument location drawings and wiring drawings
* Providing technical support to vendors for DCS/SIS/FG panels design and fabrication and mechanical/electrical equipment
* Providing comprehensive engineering and design services by establishing design criteria and preparing specifications, design computations, drawings, models and bills of material in accordance with basic project requirements
* Participating in the design of component parts and individual units
* Other tasks/responsibilities, as required
Preferred Education,
Experience and Skills:
* Minimum of 5-15 years of experience as an I&C Engineer in Oil and Gas Facilities in Western Canada
* P.Eng registration within the province of Alberta
* Strong knowledge of instrumentation, standards, specs etc.
* Understanding and working effectively with Word, Excel, Project, Visio, Powerpoint
* Excellent team collaboration and interpersonal skills
* Strong written, verbal, analytical and critical thinking skills
* Proven ability to work under pressure and meet tight timelines as occasionally demanded by our clients
