Proven Pipeline Engineering expertise and competency, in particular the installation of pipelines and associated facilitiesExtensive experience with pipeline system design and constructionLead technical role for the establishment of design specification and the procurement of equipment and pipingGenuine team player who will encourage teamwork with the project team plus other discipline staffHigh level of initiative and ability to complete tasks on schedule and budgetLead technical role for the establishment of design specification and the procurement of equipment and pipingTechnical Responsibilities
Execution of pipeline engineering scope for assigned projectsPipeline alignment & crossing engineering drawing content and professional sealing of such drawingsReview and approval of final pipeline routing analysis report including participation in routing processPreparation and content of pipeline materials and equipment specifications, particularly for Design Basis MemorandaReview of materials, equipment, and services technical bid submissionsReview of pipeline hydraulic studies and related pipeline schematicsCoordinate project pipeline engineering team and liaise with project pipeline drafting teamCoordinate activities of pipeline group with other project disciplinesWork with and mentor junior engineering and other technical staff in the pipeline disciplineEnsure compliance with project plan and proceduresImplement corporate quality and safety standards into the projectsAssist with the preparation of engineering work scope and cost estimations when requiredBe familiar with industry standard quality systems and principlesBe familiar with industry standard safety systems and principlesBe familiar with and apply corporate policies and procedures and ensure compliance with sameEducation and Qualifications
P. Eng. – Mechanical Engineering degree preferred.Minimum 4
-10 years of pipeline design experienceWork in the downstream oil and gas industry, particularly in Western CanadaFamiliar with CSA Z662 and ASME B31.4 and 31.8 codes and related standardsExperience with Canadian jurisdictions and their various acts and regulations
