As a Senior Geotechnical Engineer
, you will have an exciting opportunity to work on large‑scale, world‑class projects covering geotechnical aspects of design, construction and operations applied in our three markets of infrastructure, mining and oil sands. You will be working on water resources projects including storm ponds and water dams, tailings containment dams, roads, railways and heavy civil infrastructure. This role will provide you with excellent technical challenges and an opportunity to grow your career as well as contribute to the growth of our Infrastructure team in Calgary.

• Manage and work on projects involving terrain analysis, site investigations, instrumentation installation and monitoring, geohazard risk assessment and control.
• Design for foundations (deep and shallow) for facilities, retaining structures and bridges.
• Lead design, construction and remediation of water retention facilities.
• Build and develop client relationships.
• Develop project management skills by leading design and construction projects.
• Undertake business development and preparation of proposals to contribute to the growth of the Infrastructure Team.
• Problem‑solve and find innovative solutions to technical issues.
• Work with multidisciplinary project teams.
• Get exposure to world‑class technical challenges and opportunities to learn from the best in the business.

• Travel to project locations, typically in Alberta, but also to other Canadian provinces and international locations.

• Registered or eligible to register as a Professional Engineer in Canada.
• Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Civil or Geotechnical Engineering.
• Minimum of 10 years of related experience in municipal, water resources, mining or transportation market sectors.
• Strong initiative, innovation and commitment to technical excellence as well as enthusiasm and drive toward long‑term success.
• Demonstrated interpersonal, decision‑making and technical skills.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills, including experience in writing proposals, technical reports and general project correspondence.
• Time management and organizational skills and ability to lead others to deliver high quality project deliverables on time and within budget.
• Exceptional team spirit and ability to build long‑term, successful relationships with our clients and project teams.
