Intermediate EI&C Designer/Drafter at Tetra Tech

The Opportunity:

The Electrical, Instrumentation & Control team in Calgary, AB seeks a talented designer/drafter to contribute to innovative projects across Canada.

• Prepare rough sketches and detailed drawings using AutoCAD or Micro Station.
• Perform design and technical calculations, material lists, construction details, and diagrams related to project requirements.
• Develop and maintain standardized drawings and symbols for the company database.
• Design and draft PLC panels, junction box drawings, loop drawings, control architecture drawings, building layouts, etc.
• Review third‑party drawings (civil, architectural, landscape, utilities) for conflicts and requested information.
• 3D modeling for lighting, panels, and cable trays (asset).
• Ensure final designs comply with client and company standards.
• Conduct activities in line with internal procedures, legislation, and industry standards.
• Pursue continuous professional development and maintain discipline knowledge and awareness.
• Work safely at all times and report health and safety incidents.
• Other duties as assigned.

• Diploma or certificate in Electrical Engineering Technology or related field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience; experience in engineering consulting firm is a plus.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and/or Micro Station.
• Experience with 3D design software (asset).
• Knowledge of Canadian Safety Code.
• Computer skills in MS Office Suite.
