We are seeking a Project Contracts Specialist to provide dedicated support, with primary responsibility for overseeing a unit rate contract for an underground development and production contractor. This is a high‑impact role for a professional who combines project controls expertise with strong contract management skills in an underground mining environment.

You will play a key role in ensuring contractor performance, enforcing contractual obligations, and supporting operational success through accurate data, analysis, and collaboration with site leadership.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide oversight and administration of the unit rate contract for underground development and production.
  • Monitor contractor performance, compliance, and adherence to contractual scope and deliverables.
  • Review, assess, and defend against contractor claims, leveraging both data analysis and practical underground experience.
  • Track and report costs, quantities, and productivity to maintain accountability and transparency.
  • Collaborate with the Underground Department and site leadership to integrate project controls and contractual support.
  • Maintain a thorough understanding of all contract terms, obligations, and reporting requirements.
  • Support continuous improvement of contract management processes and reporting tools.

Rotation schedule: 2 weeks in / 2 weeks out on-site.
Camp accommodations provided.

Requirements
  • Minimum 5-10 years of experience in project controls, contracts administration, or cost management, specifically within underground mining operations.
  • Demonstrated expertise with unit rate contracts, including cost control, performance measurement, and claim resolution.
  • Hands‑on experience in underground mining, with practical knowledge of operational challenges.
  • Strong analytical skills, with the ability to interpret data to support contract enforcement and decision‑making.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Proficiency with project controls systems, reporting tools, and data analysis software.
  • Strong attention to detail, problem‑solving ability, and organizational skills.
