WHAT’S THE TEAM LIKEThe Spatial Data Services (SDS) team plays a key role in keeping both Calgary International Airport andSpring Bank Airport running smoothly. We manageaccuraterecords of all facility assets and use a range of spatial technologies to bring that data to life. Whetherit’smapping, drafting, or creating visual tools, our work helps teams across the organization make informed decisions and support daily airport operations.

You’llget
Handsonexperience with real spatial data, cool tools, and meaningful projects,all while being supported by a team that values curiosity, learning, and fresh ideas.
- Perform creation, maintenance, and processing of datasets for our GIS system using ESRI software.
- Convert CADD data to various GIS file formats using FME.
- Collect and verify field data.
- Create operational graphics.
- Provide administrative support and other duties as required.
- We welcome applications from students who meet one of the following criteria:
You must be enrolled in a post‑secondary diploma or bachelor’s program in GIS Technologies or a related field and
(a) be registered in a co‑op work term that aligns with the term of this role, or
(b) be enrolled in a program where a work term is required to graduate.
In either case, you must be able to provide documentation and confirm that you will be returning to school after the work term is completed. - Knowledge of the ESRI suite, including Arc Pro and ArcGIS Online.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications such as PowerPoint, Excel, Word, and Outlook.
- Strong organizational skills
- Bilingual in English and French
- Experience with AutoCAD, FME, Microsoft Access, and SQL Server is an asset.
