Job Summary


Tutor Prime is seeking dedicated and academically strong tutors to provide personalized, one-to-one, in-home tutoring in NW Calgary. We are currently hiring tutors with expertise in Senior High School French Immersion (English Language Arts 10-1 and above).


The ideal candidate is organized, encouraging, and confident in supporting Alberta curriculum outcomes while helping students build academic confidence and independent learning skills.

Responsibilities

• Assess students' academic needs and develop tailored lesson plans to address their individual challenges.
• Provide instruction in Senior High School French Immersion (English Language Arts), ensuring that concepts are clearly understood and retained.
• Communicate effectively with students to encourage participation and build confidence in their abilities.
• Monitor student progress and adjust instructional strategies as needed to ensure optimal learning outcomes.
• Create a positive and motivating environment that promotes student engagement and enthusiasm for learning.
• Maintain accurate records of student performance and provide feedback to parents or guardians when appropriate.

Qualifications:

1+ years of University/College education preferred
Access to a vehicle and the ability to reliably commute to in-home tutoring sessions
Knowledge of the Alberta Senior High French Immersion curriculum/English Language Arts (preferred)
Proficient knowledge in French ( French Immersion level required)
Must reside in Calgary, AB at the time of application
Fluent in English and French

Requirements:

Valid Driver’s License and reliable vehicle access (required)
Availability during weeknights (4:00 – 9:00pm) and some weekends
Must be fluent in English and French and demonstrate strong communication skills
Must complete Criminal Record Check with Vulnerable Sector Screening
Familiarity with the Alberta CBE curriculum
