Campus Pastor – MTC Campus Pastor Job Description
Status: 15–20 hours per week
Reports to:
Lead Pastor
Salary Scale: 25-35K
Summary This position will provide associate leadership, direction, and oversight for ministries at McKenzie Towne Church, with primary responsibility for leading and growing a Sunday evening MTC Campus Ministry. The role serves under the leadership of the Lead Pastor.
Responsibilities- Primary Campus Pastor for a Sunday evening MTC Campus ministry – 8 hours a week
- Provide overall spiritual leadership, vision, and pastoral presence for a Sunday evening MTC campus gathering.
- Provide direct leadership, supervision, and pastoral care to paid or part-time staff assigned to the campus.
- Develop, recruit for, coach, and oversee volunteer teams (worship, hospitality, kids, 5/6, prayer, etc.).
- Lead regular planning and evaluation meetings with the Campus leadership team.
- Connect people into community and contribute to leadership and spiritual direction of McKenzie Towne Church – 3 hours a week
- In collaboration with the Campus Pastors of MTC, create a system to help people find and deepen belonging through small groups, serving teams, and meaningful relationships (with emphasis on the Campus).
- Be an active member of the Pastoral Leadership Team, including occasional preaching opportunities (around 6–8 times per year as mutually agreed with the Lead Pastor) and vision planning and church-wide initiatives.
- Initiate and plan an outreach ministry to the surrounding McKenzie Towne community – 2 hours a week
- Lead adults in providing relevant resources and opportunities for evangelistic growth and service to the larger community in a corporate way, in collaboration with the Campus Pastors of MTC.
- Initiate and provide pastoral care – 3 hours a week
- Perform official clergy duties such as weddings, baby dedications, and funerals (as schedule allows), as well as regular pastoral conversations and meetings.
- Administrative duties – 2 hours a week
- Record keeping, financial management of assigned budget lines, email, and planning.
- Post-secondary education in a related field (graduate preferred)
- Experience leading ministries within a local church
- Able to develop and lead volunteer leaders
- Skilled and experienced communicator / preacher
- Disciple-maker, team player, innovative, flexible, strong time-manager, tech-savvy
- Culture carrier who reproduces the heart and vision of McKenzie Towne Church
