Overview

Tier II Canada Research Chair (CRC) in Nucleic Acid Therapeutics & Immune Engineering, Department of Physiology & Pharmacology, Cumming School of Medicine, University of Calgary.

Assistant Professor, tenure‑track appointment.

Responsibilities
  • Develop an independent, externally funded research program in nucleic acid therapeutics and immune engineering.
  • Secure peer‑reviewed national and provincial grants.
  • Deliver undergraduate and graduate teaching and supervise graduate students.
  • Collaborate with members of the Inflammation Research Network, Gastrointestinal Research Group, Immunology Research Group and/or Lung Health Research Group.
Qualifications
  • Ph.D. (or equivalent) with at least three years of post‑doctoral experience.
  • Track record in nucleic acid therapeutics and immune engineering (publications, external awards, letters of reference).
  • Demonstrated ability to lead an independent research program and to secure independent funding.
  • Teaching experience and ability to supervise graduate students.
  • Emerging scholar: active researcher fewer than ten years at time of nomination.
