Description

The Information Technologies is currently seeking a Full-time Temporary Facilities Intake Generalist for approximately 6 months.

The Facilities Intake Generalist will report to Adam Baker, Senior Specialist. The Facilities Intake Generalist will be expected to work in-person, 7 hours daily during traditional business hours.

Key Responsibilities

Will be supported by professionals in the field through shadowing and working with specialists in all areas within the Information Technologies portfolio. Results and outcomes will vary based upon who the student is working with. Tasks and accountabilities will adapt based on the candidate’s skill set. However, some main responsibilities are highlighted below.

Key Responsibilities Include:

  • Managing and organizing incoming inventory
  • Support field logistics and preparation/maintenance of equipment
  • Establishing and maintaining effective, productive relationships with staff, peers, immediate supervisor and senior management and with the campus community
  • Managing own time effectively and ensure immediate reports-to manager is kept informed of activities, and progress of work
  • Programming and planning supporting technologies to improve the efficiencies within the Facilities Intake team
Qualifications / Requirements
  • Able to lift 25 kgs
  • Familiar with the latest standard tech practices
  • Familiar with basic project management processes and procedures
  • Practices consistent and readable programming documentation practices
  • Eager to participate and learn a variety of different fields in IT
  • Requires basic programming skills to be leveraged in the programming of Audio Visual Solutions i.e. Crestron, Kramer, Q-Sys, reports from various data sources, and a variety of research related applications
