About The Role:
MRU Camps is looking for enthusiastic individuals who are interested in sharing their knowledge, passion, and expertise with children and youth in Creative (Visual and Fine Arts, Theatre/Drama, Dance, Film) fields.
Responsibilities:>
- Plan, deliver, and modify program lessons and activities.
- Ensure safety, well‑being, and enjoyment of campers aged 4–15.
- Make accommodations for campers with varying learning needs.
- Work collaboratively with co‑Leaders and Instructors to deliver daily programs.
- Assist camp Leaders with recreational and classroom activities.
- Supervise and coordinate lunchtime, before and after care.
- Administrative tasks including camper registration, incident reports, and attendance.
- Attend staff orientation and any necessary staff meetings.
- Communicate professionally with parents and guardians about their child’s experience at camp.
Qualifications:
- Minimum 1 year of experience in a childcare/educational setting delivering lesson plans and curriculum.
- Previous experience working or volunteering in camp related or recreational activities is an asset.
- Previous experience with curriculum design and implementation is an asset.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and conflict resolution skills.
- Previous experience in or a passion for Fine Arts, Theatre/Drama, and/or Film and Media production, and/or coaching/teaching.
- Must be available for 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday, June 29 – August 28, 2026.
- Must be available for mandatory staff training June 22–26, 2026.
Salary: $18.00 per hour.
