About The Role:

MRU Camps is looking for enthusiastic individuals who are interested in sharing their knowledge, passion, and expertise with children and youth in Creative (Visual and Fine Arts, Theatre/Drama, Dance, Film) fields.

Responsibilities:>

  • Plan, deliver, and modify program lessons and activities.
  • Ensure safety, well‑being, and enjoyment of campers aged 4–15.
  • Make accommodations for campers with varying learning needs.
  • Work collaboratively with co‑Leaders and Instructors to deliver daily programs.
  • Assist camp Leaders with recreational and classroom activities.
  • Supervise and coordinate lunchtime, before and after care.
  • Administrative tasks including camper registration, incident reports, and attendance.
  • Attend staff orientation and any necessary staff meetings.
  • Communicate professionally with parents and guardians about their child’s experience at camp.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 1 year of experience in a childcare/educational setting delivering lesson plans and curriculum.
  • Previous experience working or volunteering in camp related or recreational activities is an asset.
  • Previous experience with curriculum design and implementation is an asset.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and conflict resolution skills.
  • Previous experience in or a passion for Fine Arts, Theatre/Drama, and/or Film and Media production, and/or coaching/teaching.
  • Must be available for 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday, June 29 – August 28, 2026.
  • Must be available for mandatory staff training June 22–26, 2026.

Salary: $18.00 per hour.
