Grade 1 Teacher – Probationary Full-Time (1.0 FTE)

Join Al Amal Academy as a Grade 1 Teacher in Northwest Calgary. This role invites passionate educators to inspire young learners, bring creativity into the classroom, and contribute to a faith-based community rooted in respect, curiosity, and spiritual growth.

This full-time (1.0 FTE) probationary contract position is effective immediately. As a Grade 1 teacher, you will guide students through early learning milestones, deliver the Alberta Education curriculum, and promote foundational literacy, numeracy, and social‑emotional development within a caring, faith‑centered setting.

• Design and deliver dynamic, hands‑on learning experiences across core subjects.
• Foster a nurturing space where every child feels valued, supported, and motivated to thrive.
• Collaborate with families and colleagues to create a supportive, faith‑centered learning environment.
• Integrate technology and use diverse instructional strategies to meet the needs of all learners.

• Valid Alberta Teaching Certificate.

• Ability to collaborate with families, colleagues, and integrate technology into instruction.
• Successful candidate will provide a Criminal Record Check and Child Intervention Check satisfactory to Prairie Land School Division prior to commencement.
