Neuroradiologist – Competition #

EFW Radiology is a large physician‑owned and operated partnership that has been serving Calgary and its surrounding areas since 1969 with fellowship‑trained radiologists practicing in all subspecialty areas within Radiology. We are an academic subspecialty partnership providing clinical service, teaching and research for the University of Calgary at Foothills Medical Centre and South Health Campus sites.

About Us

EFW Radiology owns and operates several private imaging clinics within Calgary and surrounding areas, offering MRI, CT, Nuclear Medicine, Bone Density, Mammography, Ultrasound, X‑ray and a large Interventional Spine and Joint Pain Management practice. We perform over 600,000 examinations annually with a balance between community and hospital work.

Role

EFW Radiology is seeking a full‑time neuroradiology subspecialty trained radiologist physician to join our practice. As a physician you will participate in a mix of hospital and clinic work and collaborate with a congenial group of 12 subspecialty trained neuroradiologists (9 diagnostic and 3 interventional). This partnership‑track position offers long‑term job security and potential partnership for the right candidate.

Responsibilities
  • Participate in hospital and clinic work, providing neuroradiology services.
  • Supervise and interpret CT and MRI examinations.
  • Perform lumbar puncture and myelography.
  • Engage in undergraduate medical education, residency and fellowship training.
  • Contribute to research initiatives and academic activities.
Qualifications
  • Legally entitled to work in Canada.
  • Eligible for licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Alberta.
  • Certified Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada in Diagnostic Radiology and either eligible or current Certified Fellow in Neuroradiology.
  • Training and experience in supervision and interpretation of CT and MRI exams.
  • Training and competence with lumbar puncture and myelography.
  • Basic training in pain management (facet joint injections, selective nerve blocks, epidural injections) is an asset.
