BCI Performance Medicine Clinic, Win Sport, Calgary, AlbertaBCI is an innovative Performance Medicine and Sport Concussion Clinic founded on over two decades of sport injury research and clinical experience. We have a state‑of‑the‑art 3,500 square‑foot clinic and rehabilitation facility at Win Sport’s Canada Olympic Park. Our high‑performance healthcare team are leaders in their respective fields and work collaboratively with the Canadian Sport Institute Alberta (CSIAB) and its high‑performance athletes.
BCI is seeking a full‑time/part‑time Sport Medicine Physician who is interested in joining our team beginning April 1, 2026. The Performance Medicine Clinic serves the needs of Canadian Olympic, National & Provincial athletes affiliated with CSI Alberta as well as the high‑performance concussion needs of the sporting community. The successful candidate will receive an honorarium from CSIAB to help serve the health and performance medicine needs of our affiliated national/provincial athletes in addition to fee‑for‑service.
Qualifications/ Requirements
- Certification from the College of Family Physicians of Canada (CCFP)
- Completion of an Enhanced Skills PGY3 Sport and Exercise Medicine residency program with a Certificate of Added Competency (CCFP‑SEM)
- Diploma in Sport & Exercise Medicine (Dip. Sport Med.) from CASEM
- Registered in good standing with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Alberta
- Carries required coverage through the Canadian Medical Protective Association (CMPA)
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
- Exemplify a philosophy of professionalism and excellence, and commitment to collaboration/integration
- Delivery of an exceptional patient experience
- Able to work in a diverse, fast‑paced and dynamic environment
- Expected to deliver care to Canadian Olympic, National and Provincial athletes, including an appetite to be a National Sport Organization (NSO) team physician
- Expected to deliver advanced collaborative sport‑related concussion clinical services to athletes
- Payment is on a fee‑for‑service basis with a competitive overhead arrangement.
