Position: Intern / Junior Architect

About the Role

We are seeking a motivated and detail‑oriented Intern Architect to join our design team. This role offers the opportunity to work on a variety of architectural projects from concept through construction, gaining hands‑on experience under the supervision of senior architects. The ideal candidate is passionate about design, eager to learn, and committed to developing a professional career in architecture. This firm is well established in Canada with a strong portfolio of work across multiple sectors.

Job

Assist project teams in the preparation of drawings, 3D models, renderings, and presentations.

Contribute to the development of design concepts, schematic layouts, and detailed documentation.

Support coordination with consultants, contractors, and clients.

Participate in site visits, field reviews, and construction administration activities.

Research materials, building systems, and design standards as needed.

Ensure all work complies with building codes, local regulations, and firm standards.

Collaborate closely with team members to deliver high‑quality design outcomes on schedule.

What's Required

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Architecture from an accredited program in Canada, with a high GPA result (3.3+)

Possess a strong portfolio of work showing a high level of design sensibility

Enrollment in an architectural internship or licensing program (preferred), or eligible to become enrolled. Candidates with 2+ years of post‑grad industry experience are preferred.

Proficiency in Revit
, AutoCAD
, Sketch Up
, Adobe Creative Suite
, and/or Rhino
.

Strong design, visualization, and technical drawing skills.

Excellent communication, organizational, and problem‑solving abilities.

Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and take direction from senior staff.

Exposure to diverse project types and design stages

Mentorship from experienced registered architects.
