In this role, you will:
- Assist with base plans, site analysis drawings, and presentation materials.
- Support the preparation of design development, tender, and construction drawings, including plans, sections, details, planting plans, and schedules.
- Work within established CAD and digital standards to produce consistent, well-coordinated drawing packages.
- Support model and visualization workflows (as needed) using tools such as Sketch Up and Adobe Creative Suite.
- Coordinate information with project team members and other disciplines, helping ensure drawings and background files stay current.
- Support construction review and contract administration activities under the direction of senior staff, such as assembling site visit packages, organizing photos and notes, updating redlines, tracking deficiencies, and assisting with close-out documentation.
- Assist with shop drawing and submittal reviews, and help organize RFI and correspondence tracking, with oversight from senior staff.
- Help update record drawings and compile project deliverables as projects move toward completion.
As a new member of ISL’s Landscape Architecture and Urban Design team, this future ISLer models our organizational values of Curiosity, Unity, Integrity and Excellence.
You are early in your career and excited to build your skills on real projects alongside experienced landscape architects and technologists. You enjoy producing clean, well-organized drawings, learning how details come together, and contributing to a collaborative studio culture. You’re curious about how projects move from design into tender and construction, and you’re interested in gaining exposure to field reviews and project close-out over time, with guidance from senior staff.
- A studio environment where you work closely with landscape architects, designers, and fellow technologists.
- Mentorship, clear feedback, and opportunities to grow your technical production skills.
- Variety across project phases, from early drawing packages and design development through to tender and construction documentation.
