ASSOCIATE DENTIST – MATERNITY LEAVE LOCUM | NORTHLAND DENTAL – CALGARY, AB

Step into a busy, well-established Calgary practice with a loyal patient base, strong hygiene demand, excellent support, and a predictable weekday schedule.

We have a maternity-leave locum opportunity in a professional building for an experienced clinician who can work efficiently and independently when needed.

THE OPPORTUNITY

Northland Dental is seeking an Associate Dentist to cover a maternity-leave locum for approximately 6 months, with a target start date of May 19, 2026
.

SCHEDULE

  • Tuesday: 8:00 am – 4:00 pm

  • Wednesday: 8:00 am – 4:00 pm

  • Thursday: 8:00 am – 4:00 pm

  • Friday: 8:00 am – 2:00 pm

  • PRACTICE SNAPSHOT

  • Operatories: 10 total

    Associate setup: 2 chairs per DDS

    Hygiene: 4–5 chairs; 4–5 RDH/day

    The practice isnon-assignment

  • TECHNOLOGY & DIGITAL WORKFLOW

  • Intraoral Scanner (iOS)

  • Pan

  • Digital X-ray

  • Videa Health

  • Paperless workflow

  • CLINICAL SCOPE

    This is a family-based practice with a mature, loyal patient base and a wide range of general dentistry needs. The ideal locum is comfortable with:

  • Bread-and-butter dentistry

  • Basic endodontics

  • Basic oral surgery/extractions

  • Fixed prosthodontics (crowns and bridge)

  • WHAT MAKES NORTHLAND DENTAL UNIQUE

  • Lovely, long-term patient base (often 40+ demographic)

  • Practice located on the 4th floor

  • IDEAL CANDIDATE

  • Well-rounded GP skill set

  • Comfortable treating families and children

  • Confident running independently on Fridays

  • Strong communication and patient-centred approach

  • About You:

  • Graduate from an accredited DDS/DMD Program or successful completion of the National Dental Examining Board of Canada (NDEB) Equivalency Process

  • Registered and in good standing with provincial licensing requirements

  • Valid CPR certification
