Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) to join our dynamic dental team in Banff. In this vital role, you will provide exceptional chairside assistance, ensuring smooth and efficient patient care in a fast-paced dental environment. Your expertise will support dentists across various specialties, including general dentistry, prosthodontics, endodontics, and pediatric dentistry. You will play a key role in maintaining a welcoming atmosphere while adhering to the highest standards of infection control and patient safety.

Responsibilities

Assist the dentist during examinations and procedures, ensuring patient comfort and safety.
Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing instruments and ensuring all necessary materials are ready for use.
Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays) as needed.
Maintain accurate patient records, including medical histories and treatment plans.
Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care.
Schedule appointments and manage patient flow to optimize office efficiency.
Collaborate with the dental team to provide high-quality care, including working with pediatric patients and orthodontics.
Utilize dental software such as clear dent and open dental for record management and appointment scheduling.

Requirements

Valid registration as a Dental Assistant with current certification or license in accordance with state regulations
Proven experience in dental assisting within a clinical setting, preferably with pediatric dentistry or general dentistry procedures
Knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, infection control practices, and aseptic techniques
Ability to operate dental equipment including 3D scanners, X-ray machines, and other medical imaging tools.
Understanding of medical terminology relevant to dental procedures and pediatrics is highly desirable
