  • Edit and publish content efficiently, often on the same day, to support timely storytelling
  • Coach, mentor and collaborate with the Stampede Princess in developing strong, independent content creation skills, including filming, editing, caption writing, posting, and audience engagement
  • Create content with and alongside the Stampede Princess at events throughout the year, including during the Calgary Stampede
  • Support weekly content production through hands‑on editing, posting, and community management, in collaboration with the subcommittee
  • Capture short‑form video and photo content optimized for platforms such as Instagram and Tik Tok
  • Stay current on social media trends, formats, and best practices to drive reach, engagement, and storytelling
  • Collaborate with the subcommittee to evolve goals, workflows, and content standards year over year
  • Ensure all content is brand‑aligned, accurate, engaging, and reflective of Stampede values
Qualifications
  • Strong interpersonal and relationship‑building skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Creative, outgoing, and able to think innovatively
  • Exceptional organizational skills with strong time‑management abilities
  • Flexible, adaptable, and comfortable working in a fast‑paced, dynamic environment
  • Active content creator with demonstrated experience producing short‑form social media content (video and photography)
  • Proficient in filming, editing, and publishing content using mobile devices
  • Demonstrates sound judgment, professionalism, and discretion
  • Embodies the values, spirit, and hospitality of the Calgary Stampede
Time Commitment
  • Attend bi‑monthly, in‑person committee and/or subcommittee meetings
  • Accompany the Stampede Princess to approximately 8–12 events annually outside of the Calgary Stampede 10‑day event
  • Commit to full participation during the Calgary Stampede 10‑day event, including:
