About UsStagecoach Performing Arts has been inspiring young performers for over 30 years, with a presence in hundreds of communities worldwide. We provide high-quality, part-time training in singing, dancing, and acting for students aged 4–16 — nurturing not only their artistic talents but also their confidence, creativity, and resilience.
Our programs are designed to support every student, from enthusiastic beginners to experienced young performers. At Stagecoach, we aim to give our students Creative Courage for Life, fostering a warm, inclusive, and encouraging environment where they feel empowered to express themselves.
About the RoleAs a Dance Teacher, you’ll work with three age groups throughout the day: ages 6–9, ages 10–12, and ages 13–16.
You’ll be responsible for planning and delivering fun, age-appropriate dance lessons in a group class setting that engage students of varying skill levels. Each group rotates through drama, singing, and dance classes, with you welcoming them into your studio for their dedicated 50‑minute dance lesson.
Throughout the year, you may be given some choreography, song selections or direction to prepare students for term‑end showcases or full‑scale musical theatre productions. Lessons should include a warm‑up, technique‑building activities, choreography, and a cool‑down. While structure is provided, you’ll have the freedom to bring your own creativity and teaching style to each session.
Dance styles typically are focused on musical theatre, jazz, and creative movement for stage. However, there is certainly room to bring in other styles of dance and explore a wide range of genres. You should also be comfortable focusing on integrating skills by teaching acting through dance, creative expression and stage presence. You’ll help students gain confidence, improve coordination and musicality, and develop ensemble awareness.
You’ll be part of a collaborative and supportive team, working together to create a joyful and structured performing arts experience for students.
