Position Overview
The Excavator Operator for Western Canada is responsible for operating heavy excavating equipment to execute earthworks projects across various locations in the region at Professional Excavators & Construction Inc. This role involves ensuring safety, precision, and efficiency in all excavation activities while adhering to company standards and project specifications.

Key Responsibilities- Operate excavators and other heavy machinery efficiently to complete excavation tasks for diverse construction projects across Western Canada
- Perform pre-operation inspections on equipment to ensure optimal performance and report any issues to the site supervisor
- Excavate trenches, foundations, and other earthworks in accordance with project plans and specifications
- Coordinate with team members to ensure smooth operation and adherence to safety protocols
- Maintain accurate records of work performed and machinery usage
- Follow safety regulations and promote a safe work environment for yourself and fellow workers
- Assist with loading and unloading materials and ensuring the worksite is kept clean and organized
- Successful completion of Alcohol and Drug Screening
- Willingness to travel to different job sites across Western Canada as required
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience operating excavators in a construction-related setting
- Strong knowledge of excavation practices, safety protocols, and regulations
- Ability to read and understand construction plans and specifications
- Valid Heavy Equipment Operator License and relevant certifications are considered an asset
- Physical stamina and ability to work in various weather conditions
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a team
