Equation Staffing is hiring an experienced Project Manager to join our client’s team and oversee commercial mechanical in Calgary AB. The Project Manager is responsible from pre-construction through closeout, ensuring projects are delivered on time, on budget, and to quality and safety standards. This role works closely with estimators, site supervisors, foreman, subcontractors, and clients.
Salary: $90k - $110k based on experience
Schedule: Monday to Friday – 8am to 4:30pm (some additional hours needed from time to time)
Location: Calgary AB
Key Responsibilities- Manage multiple commercial plumbing/mechanical projects from start to finish.
- Review drawings, specifications, and contracts to confirm scope and requirements.
- Develop and control project schedules, budgets, forecasts, and work plans.
- Coordinate manpower, materials, equipment, and subcontractors.
- Track costs and approve invoices, purchase orders, and payments.
- Liaise with site supervisors, field crews, general contractors, consultants, inspectors, and vendors.
- Attend project meetings and provide regular progress updates.
- Ensure compliance with Alberta Building Code, safety regulations, and company standards; promote site safety.
- Identify, mitigate, and resolve project risks, issues, and RFIs.
- Maintain strong client and GC relationships; ensure expectations are met or exceeded.
- Oversee deficiencies, commissioning, turnover documentation, and warranty support.
- 3–7+ years of Project Management experience in commercial mechanical or plumbing construction.
- Strong understanding of mechanical systems, drawings, and specifications.
- Proficiency with project management and scheduling software (e.g., MS Project, Procore, or similar).
- Excellent communication, organization, and leadership skills.
- Own Vehicle to travel to sites.
