Strategic Sourcing Specialist

Overview

Airswift is seeking a Strategic Sourcing professional to work for a major Oil & Gas client on a 1-year contract with a huge possibility of being extended. This role will support their operations in Calgary, AB.

This position sits in a busy operations team where priorities shift quickly and sourcing cycles move fast. You’ll be running competitive RFXs, managing supplier interactions, and helping the team secure the right services and materials within tight timelines. We’re seeking for someone who is hands-on, self-driven, and genuinely enjoys solving problems.

• Leading end-to-end competitive RFXs for project needs with quick deadlines and short decision windows.
• Negotiating agreements, including commercial terms, rate structures, and legal considerations.
• Working with internal stakeholders who rely on fast, practical solutions; asking the right questions to keep things moving.
• Supporting sourcing activities tied to day-to-day operations and project execution.
• Helping maintain strong supplier relationships and monitoring performance.
• Developing strong internal and external relationships

• Intermediate to Senior SCM professional with 4+ years in sourcing, operations, or project supply chain work.
• Solid experience running RFXs, negotiating terms, and working under pressure.
• Someone who enjoys a high-paced, hands-on environment with lots of moving parts.
• Strong communicator who collaborates well with operations and project teams.
• Self-starter: motivated, organized, and able to multitask without needing heavy direction.
• A practical problem-solver, who brings curiosity, good judgment, and real engagement.
• Must be open to a role focused on operations/projects, not category leadership.
• Must be open travel to sites
